ILLUMINATES BLINDNESS AND LOW VISION
A center in which we are convinced that the care of girls, boys and young people with blindness or low vision must go hand in hand with the accompaniment, support and training of their families, since they will be the ones that favor their inclusion in the family nucleus and facilitate the development and education of their children. In the same way, they will be those who defend and promote the rights of their relatives with blindness and low vision.

The Conde de Valenciana Foundation Ophthalmology Institute is a Non-profit Private Assistance Institution. It exists thanks to the legacy of Don Luis Ludert y Rul (1868-1953), descendant of the Counts of Valenciana, who at his death left the property where he is settled and sufficient resources for the construction of a hospital that would be dedicated to the care of patients with the eyes, especially of those with fewer resources. The Institution opened its doors to the public on February 24, 1976.

The basic principles that guide us in the design of services for people with autism and their families are the same ones that guide public policies for any person. These principles are enshrined in international Human Rights instruments and more particularly in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
