The Mexican Association of Cystic Fibrosis AC (AMFQ) was founded in 1982 at the initiative of Eng. Antonio Gutiérrez Cortina. Our job is to establish the means to diagnose Cystic Fibrosis (CF) in a clear and timely manner, as well as to provide support to patients and their families, informing them about the disease and the necessary care. Our challenge is to ensure that Mexican children with CF have a life expectancy greater than 40 years, an expectation that has already been achieved in the United States and Europe.
